Maths & English
Tutoring to Success offers small group Maths and English tutoring. Although not diagnostic or remedial in nature, the small groups allow tutors to identify areas in need of focus and tailor lessons accordingly.
Avoiding the disconnect that technology brings, we believe in putting pen to paper and pride ourselves in building relationships that allow us to understand the individual needs of our students.
The Tutoring to Success approach to learning is holistic and so we value an open line of communication between teacher, parent and tutor.
Tutoring is a process and we believe that building from a place of confidence allows us to live up to our motto of Empowering minds, one lesson at a time.
Study Methods
At Tutoring to Success we understand that learning is not a ‘one size fits all’.
We provide the platform that allows our students to acquire the skills they will need in the classroom. Although core concepts, applicable to all students, can be taught in a small group setting, various individualised strategies and techniques will be shown to those students who need additional scaffolding.
Our ultimate goal is to build skill levels and confidence, thereby removing intimidation from the learning process.
Exam Preparation
Senior College brings with it the dynamic of extensive internal assessments and external exams. This process can be overwhelming and intimidating.
Time management is crucial, not only for studying but also during the assessments and exams themselves. Methods of studying and retaining information vary from student to student and so exploring various study techniques is invaluable.
Not only do we provide a space for independent study groups, using resources and materials specific to the group’s needs, but we also facilitate time management and study technique workshops. Our goal is to help senior students set themselves up for success, so that they can grow in confidence and thrive.
