How do we contact you?
● Our helpful and approachable tutors are available via email: connect@tutoringtosuccess.co.nz
● They will happily provide you with an information pack and answer any queries you may have.
● They will also gladly set up a time to meet in person so that you can view the premises and gain a better understanding of the Tutoring to Success approach and methodology.
What year levels do you cater for?
Tutoring to Success has various options available to Primary, Intermediate and Secondary school students. See Our Services for more details.
What are the costs involved and what do these costs cover?
- The 45 minute tutoring sessions are provided at a cost of $60 per lesson, per student. This amount is reduced to $50 each, for sibling enrolments.
These fees include individualised planning and lesson preparation, tuition, resources, stationery and other materials used during the sessions.
- Senior independent study is at a cost of $30 per student. This includes resources and materials specific to student needs, with access to free WIFI.
- Study and Time Management workshops will be priced on application.
What sets you apart from other tutoring centres?

What is the tutor to student ratio?
● With our focus on individualised, small group tutoring, Tutoring to Success will strive to maintain a tutor to student ratio of 1:5
● An assistant tutor will help maintain the individual attention and focus that each of our students deserves.
Do students undergo diagnostic testing when they enrol?
Tutoring to Success is not diagnostic in nature and so no formal diagnostic tests will be conducted upon enrolment.
Is Tutoring to Success a remedial center?
Although well equipped to deal with neurodiversity and learning difficulties,
Tutoring to Success is not remedial by nature and also caters to those students who are looking to accelerate their learning.
Where are you located?
● Tutoring to Success is ideally located in the heart of Orewa and is situated at 24 Moana Avenue.
●Walking distance from local schools and opposite a conveniently located bus stop, makes us visible and easily accessible.
What are your operating hours?
Tutoring to Success operates Monday to Thursday, providing tuition in English and Maths.
● Session 1: 3:45pm – 4:30pm
● Session 2: 4:45pm – 5:30pm
Do you provide online tutoring?
At Tutoring to Success we strive to avoid the disconnect that technology brings. We believe in putting pen to paper and encouraging a holistic approach to learning, that is best done in person.
What credentials do your tutors hold?
What credentials do your tutors hold?
● Our full-time tutors have over 25 years of experience between them, not only from years of private tutoring but also within the education sector.
● Working as Teaching Assistants, they have very real and current insights into the NZ curriculum and the daily challenges that students face in the classroom.
● Their practical knowledge across year levels and learning areas is invaluable.
● Their core competencies include making literacy and numeracy more accessible to all students, those who need scaffolding, as well as those who would benefit from extension work.
